Bandit number 4.....IL

I just wanted to let you know that it's been a little over 2 months and he has really fit in and is doing extremely well. His aggression is almost non existent, maybe a growl to let me know not to touch his back when I pet him. It's always sore for some reason, but it doesn't stop him from running as fast as he can and climbing on the sofa like a cat. He loves the snow and the birds in the back yard. He's getting along with my other dog and has stopped fighting with him. I noticed this morning when he woke up for the day that he was really really happy, tail wagging, little bark and running back and forth in our bedroom, Trying to play with North. It just hit me that he's come a long way in just 2 months. He's accepting of love from me and friendship from North. He's a lot more house broken only going in the house once  in 3 weeks  and he did try to tell me so that ones my fault. Also they sit on the sofa with me and I massage Norths neck and he asks for the same so it's surprising how I can rub his neck and he enjoys it, after all that bad past, he may be moving away from that memory. (Which I think is huge). I call him Zee (not flee) and he responds to it much better then Bandit. So new house, new family, new city, new life, new name.

Lucy....NY

I just wanted to share a couple pics of these two AADR alumni, Dox and Lucy.
I've had Lucy for about 8 months now, and she's doing great. I will never know how I'm her third family .
She's amazing and goes on work appointments with me and is a perfect lady and assistant.
Dox and Lucy loved each other from the first time they met. Dox is very patient with her, and she just looks up to him as her big brother.

Henry.....NH

This evening at 7:30, Henri got his first helicopter flight.At start up, he barked at the slow turning rotors overhead.Like he barks at windshield wipers in a car.After the blades increased speed to a blur, he calmed down.He was security restrained on the seat between us and ultimately stayed on Lindy's lap.After a short hover, we departed the heliport.Lindy watched him closely to see his reaction.He stayed transfixed at the view looking very content.We made an approach and landing at a small nearby airfield to further see his reaction on landing.He just stayed transfixed on the whole event.We are elated!He will next fly to Sanford airport about half hour each way.A big walk awaits at Sanford.On Saturday, he swam like a fish for some two hours.We even carefully tested his swimming prowess without his life jacket.To our amazement, he swam great.He will always have his life vest on anyway.But we couldn't believe how strong a swimmer he is!Hope you enjoy his after flight photos. Bear number 7.....MS

Little Bear is doing great. We have not had any troubles at all. He has adjusted well.

Mocha.....MD

Mocha is doing very well. Top photo is her new dog partner Blondie. They are not yet playing together but like each other & walk together & sleep near each other on the sofa.
