You are the fuel for AADR. Without our members, we couldn't do the great things that get done!
We ask our member's to contribute $25 per year to the cause. These funds are collected at membership and then annually during the spring (April-May). This money is added to our general fund.
Our main expense is veterinary fees. As you know, when we adopt out a dog, it is fully vetted, to include dental if needed, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested and medicated, all shots, and loved! For some dogs this can run several hundred dollars which we can never recover in simple adoption fees alone without a dramatic increase.
We don't ask foster homes that foster 10+ months of the year to pay membership -- that is a "benefit" of fostering.
