She has adjusted wonderfully.....it didn't take her no time at all. Her and my male dachshund, Jagger, get along great and play almost every minute of the day. She's learned the doggie dog within a couple of hours of being home and enjoys being able to come and go as she pleases.......really enjoys sunning on the deck. She had a parasite when I got her but my vet took care of that and said she's in perfect health. Everyone that sees her just loves her markings! Leash training was a bit of a challenge but after a couple of weeks she got it. We walk at least a mile every evening when I get home and sometimes twice on the weekends. She loves to cuddle and has to be touching either myself or Jagger when she sleeps.......neither one of us mind at all. It took me a couple of years to finally decide to get another one since my boy is so sweet and doesn't have a mean bone in his body and I couldn't take the change of another dog being mean to him. I know that sounds funny but if you knew Jagger you would understand. With that being said I am sooooo glad Nikki came into our lives and I was able to give her a forever home and all the loving she can stand! Sorry to ramble but these are my babies and I could talk all day about them. Thanks again for contacting me and have a great day!
