Happy Tales

Every one of these Dachshunds has been rescued by an angel...

Harley's Brave Journey   Harley's Story is a great inspiration to AADR because it shows that no matter how desperate the situation, saving one life makes the ultimate difference. DeeAnn, Harley's foster mom, has included her personal account with Harley's amazing story and where he is now.Harley was found homeless and sick. He only had a 50% chance of survival. Now he is living a life of true happiness and contentment. Read More...

Daisy #11..AL

Angie, we absolutely adore this sweet baby girl. She has filled an emptiness in our hearts and our home after we lost our baby of 12 years. She has adjusted very well and is spoiled rotten...just like we like them. Here is a pic of me and sweet Daisy.

Tomas...OH

We changed his name to Gus but he's doing great. He and Darcy are play buddies and my 2 seniors try to stay as far away as possible. Both Gus and Darcy have brought much joy and excitement to our lives. Especially since I have become very ill w Chronic Pancreatitis and will also be having surgery to repair 2 brain aneurysms in Feb. Sometimes it's tough w 4 dogs, but I used to have 7. I will included a pic of Gus, Darcy is camera shy, she just spends her day trying to find a way to eat our guinea pig Eli.

He’s a she, but she is doing great. She has adjusted very well with the other three dogs. She is still working on potty etiquette. She knows inside is a no, no and outside is OK, but she doesn’t know how to ask to go out. Sometimes she goes out a takes a dump and comes in and pee’s. She will learn, it just takes time. She only has an accident once in a while. She is a little treasure. She went from 6.11 pounds to 7.2 pounds.

Mariah...NY

I would be happy to share the love we have for Mariah (who is now Stella). From the second she came into our lives we were in love. She is a well adjusted, happy, affectionate little girl and a perfect companion to our little boy Guinness. She loves everyone and everyone loves her. If we were to get another dachshund in the future we would definitely do it through ADR. The process was thorough and insured that the dog was going to home where she would be well cared for. Thank you for bringing her into our lives. Debbie

Wendy...FL

We got this picture of Wendy from her forever home! She looks like she is living it up!
