BIO:  Daisy #11 came from MD when her owner sadly passed away but don’t be sad for Daisy she’s a great little girl that for 10 yrs old still acts very young. She is a beautiful girl that loves to run in the fence yard hunting down squirrels or birds.

Daisy really needs a fenced in yard or at least taken to the park several times a week. She gets along great with other dogs male and female, will even play for a bit. She would be great with another dog or by herself if no other animals. We are not sure about cats but we don’t think so, probably just something else to chase off.

Please don’t let her age deter you because she still has a lot of love to give. She did lose a lot of teeth when she had her dental when she first came into rescue so she’ll need softened food the rest of her life but she doesn’t mind. Please give Daisy a forever home!

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.

Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

We will not adopt to the states of MA, CT or RI because we are not an approved rescue in those states and in order to be approved in those states we have to pay an annual fee and we need that money to go to the dogs.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
