Happy Tales

Every one of these Dachshunds has been rescued by an angel...

Harley's Brave Journey   Harley's Story is a great inspiration to AADR because it shows that no matter how desperate the situation, saving one life makes the ultimate difference. DeeAnn, Harley's foster mom, has included her personal account with Harley's amazing story and where he is now.Harley was found homeless and sick. He only had a 50% chance of survival. Now he is living a life of true happiness and contentment. Read More...

Panther...NC

Thanks for checking in on Panther. She has settled in very well here and we adore her! She gets along quite well with our two greyhounds and the house cats as well as our barn cat. I work at an international equestrian competition venue here in North Carolina and Panther frequently accompanies me to work. She loves to ride in the car, truck or golf cart and will sulk, sitting by the side of the vehicle and refusing to move if not invited to come along. She travels well, and has gone with us to several horse shows.

Elliot...CA

Happy tails from Elliot! His new parents waited a long time to bring this special pup to there home! As you can see it was worth the wait! His new mom writes "a little over two weeks ago i flew back to Memphis to pick up a little pup named Elliot. i spent the day hanging out with him and his amazing foster mom. we are so lucky to have this little turkey in our home. thanks to AAD for giving our new old man a chance, he is thriving in his new home in the Bay Area and is attached at the hip to his new dad!"

Amos...IL

Amos is doing well, we have renamed him Bob Wiley. He is still pretty nervous around men. I'm thinking that he must have been abused by men in the puppy mill. He is now on a schedule with potty training, eating and sleeping. We are being very patient with him. We are trying to develop a trusting relationship all around and then he will be enrolled in obedience training. -- Tricia

Lewis...TN

Lewis is doing great he has filled a hole in my heart that has been there a while. I thought I would not like to adopt an older dog but I am so glad I did he is a gift from God. He has made our lives so happy and complete here and I have spoiled him so much every time I pass by him I give him a kiss and rub. My mom said that I was going to rub the hair off of him. He is so loved and at home now Thank You for letting it to be possible for me to adopt.
