"Pablo" (which he did not answer to so we renamed him Siegfried and call him "Siegi"). Is a really great dog and companion. Having had previous experience with rescues we were prepared for issues but as yet none have surfaced. He loves his back yard where he can chase squirrels up our big oak tree. He loves to go on rides in the car when I am out running errands. Perfectly housetrained and great on the leash - when on a walk he likes to move out which helps out my cardio exercise. What's not to like? I think that he may have had problems in the past with toys and hands. Maybe another dog wouldn't let him play with his toys - but he is starting to pick up and chew on some of the toys we have for him. All the other dogs I have had liked to "mouth" our hands a little in play. He acts like he might like to try but he has a strange displacement action craning his neck and yawning when he seems tempted to do this. He may have bitten in the past and been punished which produced this but he has shown no aggressive behavior whatsoever.  He loves to sit on our laps or lie between my wife and I on the couch in the evenings when we are relaxing. My sister and her husband were here visiting Easter Sunday and he was just great with them. We have a couple of large dogs across the fence in our back yard that bark at him but he just ignores them. A little Yorkie lives to our east and he and she run up and down their respective sides of the fence together.

We have seen him do something which in the past we have only seen in cartoons. We had a couple of nylabones that belonged to a previous dog. When he found each one in the toybox he demanded to go outside where he promptly buried the bone. Dug a hole, dropped in the bone and covered it completely so it could not be seen. To say this surprised us would be an understatement. Not even a real bone, but he absolutely insisted on burying them. Obviously he had a good time doing this and we may have to buy a nylabone from time to time for him to bury. My sister and her husband got to see him bury the second one. They were quite entertained.

I think you can tell that we have fallen in love with this little guy and he certainly warmed up quickly to us.

Ella (formerly Priscilla)  is doing GREAT! Absolutely no problems. She has certainly come out of her shell. The other dogs are getting used to her and she knows no fear.All of my clients want her!
