Happy Tales
Every one of these Dachshunds has been rescued by an angel...
Harley's Brave Journey Harley's Story is a great inspiration to AADR because it shows that no matter how desperate the situation, saving one life makes the ultimate difference. DeeAnn, Harley's foster mom, has included her personal account with Harley's amazing story and where he is now.Harley was found homeless and sick. He only had a 50% chance of survival. Now he is living a life of true happiness and contentment. Read More...

Ariel...TN
Ariel ("Macy") is doing great! She has been such a blessing to our lives and has already brought us many laughs :)
We just took her to the vet yesterday for her needed vaccinations and a check-up. She is in good health and is a normal, energetic puppy!
We apologize for not getting back to y'all sooner --- it has been a busy time at work for me and every time we thought about reaching out it slipped our minds.
We love that she is a part of our family, now, and are grateful for all of the AADR volunteers that made her journey to us possible!
Autumn...TN
A note from Autumn's family: Autumn is doing wonderful. She is such a sweetheart. She really fits into our family.
Andy...NY
Andy is doing great at his new home here In New York. I'm so glad to have him as a part of the family. He's energetic, funny, smart, and has a fabulous personality. He's a definite keeper. ---- UPDATE from 5 November, 2013 --
Just wanted to give you and AADR an update on Andy. Andy is doing very well. He has adjusted completely to his new life in the big city of New York. since arriving in March 2012. He is quite the character - still loves to give kisses (that will never change), loves to cuddle on the couch with me and others who he has grown to love (resting his big head on laps.lol), loves to eat - I guess that comes natural since I don't go without missing a damn meal. haha. Actually I nicknamed him Buffalo Butt!!!- which he responds to. lol. Andy is perhaps one of the most intelligent dogs that I have ever owned. Even when I take him to day camp, oh my god, the folks there loves him. They actually call him their little guy and always asks "when am I bringing him back?". He even has a girl friend at day camp named Beauty. + a little buddy that lives across the street from me named Snoopy (also a Dachshund).
Considering even adopting another :-)
Again, would like to say THANK YOU for allowing my home to be Andy's Forever home.
Attached are some pics.
Thx,
Chandler
Angie #2...KS
Our Angie has a new name, Ginger, and is adjusting to it very well. She has seemed so happy here in her new home because she has a huge backyard, lots of toys, a new sister (Zoey) and a Mom and Dad who think she is absolutely adorable. We are just having the most wonderful time watching her play and chase squirrels, etc. with her sister. Boy, can she run fast!!!
Ginger, Zoey and I all went to our Veterinarian yesterday. Her sister's yearly shots were due. The entire Vet office thought she was a cutie! She has gained a pound since she has been here and the Vet said she looked great.
She hangs out with her Mom and sister all day just playing and napping and sometimes going on car trips to the bank, etc.. When Dad comes home we all take a walk.
We thank All American Dachshund Rescue for this awesome little sweetheart. She is perfect and a cute little rascal sometimes. Her Dad told her the other day that she needed to start bringing in all her toys at night as she takes them out one by one during the day. Some times she tries to stop her sister from coming up the doggie stairs to get on the couch, like she is the only one that should be on it. Her sister ignores her, of course. They are getting along splendidly.
All of our grown children and family can hardly wait to meet her based on our stories and pictures. Isn't it amazing how people love their animals like humans. God has blessed us with more children!

Amelia...MD
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond! I adopted Amelia, who I now call "Lilly". She is an adorable little doxie that has warmed my heart. She was from a puppy mill until she was 18 months old and had a litter of puppies there. She then came to me from her foster Mom and you would never know what she has been through. She is still extremely scared of men, but we are working on it and hoping she will come around. She loves women and is such a cuddle bug and lap dog. She follows me everywhere and loves being next to me. I am so happy I have her now and can provide her a life she would have never even known in the puppy mill. I have attached some pictures! Thank you so much for everything you do at the rescue! ~KR
