Happy Tales

Every one of these Dachshunds has been rescued by an angel...

Harley's Brave Journey   Harley's Story is a great inspiration to AADR because it shows that no matter how desperate the situation, saving one life makes the ultimate difference. DeeAnn, Harley's foster mom, has included her personal account with Harley's amazing story and where he is now.Harley was found homeless and sick. He only had a 50% chance of survival. Now he is living a life of true happiness and contentment. Read More...

Slinky #2..TN

It was one year ago AADR brought me my best friend. I just wanted to say thank you and let you know that we are doing well. Slinky has been the best friend to me that I could have ever hoped for. He greets me with kisses and a wagging tail every time I come home. He snuggles up with me at night and keeps me warm. We go on walks and rides in the car together. He is my best friend. Thank you a main Bill and Slinky

Zeke...VA

Zeke is doing wonderfully. We have several doxies and there have been absolutely no issues with his acclamation and their acceptance of him and him of them. He loves to play and be outside, especially in the snow! I have noticed that he snarls at times; both to let you know he's done with whatever you are doing, (namely trying to comb or removed knotted hair), and to play. He has improved considerably in expanding how much he will tolerate. He's a great addition to our family!! We love him dearly.

Toby #6 in TN

We recently got this photo of our man Toby#6! Toby slipped his leash upon arrival at his forever home. Through diligence and a trap, he was recovered after a few days of running free. Looks like he won't be running anymore! Our little guy is rocking the Doxie sheets and looks like he is enjoying his new home! Apparently, he is quite the snugglebug now.

Chance #3..PA

Chance wanted to send his love along with a few pictures of his spoiled life with us! We love him so very much! Thank you for all you do to help with fostering and rescue!

Jillian...NC

Jillian is adjusting great. We can't imagine why anybody would not want her. She is so loving and sweet. Everyone in our family just loves her. It took a little while for Jillian to adjust to my 9 year old son but now they both get along good. Even my 14 year old blind dog use to bark at her but he does not do that anymore. Jillian came to us overweight but she is just one pound from her ideal weight. We didn't think she could run with her weight but now she likes to run during our regular walks. She loves to kiss and roll on her back for belly rubs. We are blessed to have Jillian in our lives. Thank you. Crystal
