Hello there, Kori speaking here. I am a little cutie. My foster mom adores me. I was not to sure at first, but give me a little time and all I want is love and attention. This is one “crazy house” I am one of two fosters. My foster home has 3 dachshunds, Roxy, Nicholas and Rex. Their son has two huge, when I say huge I mean HUGE, Husky's.

I want to play, I'd rather stick with small ones like myself. I am not a bigger player, I like to play a little, but love the animals to chew on. I am just a warm snuggely kind of girl. My foster home has a parrot and all he does is call my name, not sure what's up with that, although Sammy says all of our names a long with the kids names. There are days he drives us crazy. He barks like we do and each one is different, see crazy.

Children, well I like them they are good to me.  Their son has a baby too. She lays on this mat thing, I go over smell and think what is all this fuss'n about.  Toddlers are ok too, their very busy. Now ten and up, now that's what I am talking about.  They just sit and play these games and I just snuggle up. I am looking for a wonderful loving home. I want to be loved a whole lot and I love attention. I am sweet, loveable and just want to be around all the time. I am searching for a home where I am not a pet but a family member. AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
