BIO Update (12/5/2016):
MUST have a fenced yard and a young doggie companion!
Ellie has been in her foster home for a few weeks now and she continues to LOVE to play. The right home for this little cutie must have another young dog for a playmate and a big fenced yard where she can run and play.
BIO:
Everyone meet Ellie! She's from Tennessee. Little Ellie is 17 months old. She was pregnant with 2 puppies and was placed in a shelter down south where most of the dogs don't get to see another light of day. Luckily, AADR was contacted and they rescued her and her puppies.
We're currently fostering her until we find a FUR-EVER home. She's the kindest sweetest puppy I've ever met. She gets along with other dogs and loves everyone. Ellie is full of energy and loves a good cuddle session right near your face. She deserves to be in a house with another young dog or kids. Ellie’s personality lights up a room. She loves everyone and wants to be near you all the time. Ellie would love nothing more than to be your companion for life.
Ellie is up-to-date on all shots and is healthy as can be. She came here very skinny but has gained her appetite back and loves her chow.
Ellie hasn't been in a crate. She sleeps in bed with her furry foster brother and her humans. Ellie is house trained.
If you would like more information, please contact AADR or her foster mom at chefamelialynn@gmail.com.
More about Ellie....... MI
Good with Dogs, Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Requires a yard, Leashtrained, Playful, Affectionate, Needs a companion animal
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
