BIO:

To say that Coco is a sweet little girl is the same as saying the Mona Lisa is a work of art.  There’s so much more to each!  Coco has the most gorgeous golden brown eyes that look at whoever is holding her with absolute love and trust.  She is happiest near her human, wherever that may be.   Coco is not a big barker and she greets strangers happily.  Her coat is very short and somewhat thin, common to dachshunds of her coloring.  She is adorably sweet and will make someone very happy!  This angel will not be available long, get your application in fast!

More about Coco #3...NY

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
