Greta Garbo...DC

Greta Garbo checking in. Life is great since I found my forever home up in DC. I’ve quickly settled into my urban neighborhood near the waterfront. It’s filled with squirrels, hidden paths and a soon to open dog park!!!! I love going on my daily walks. I’m always running into other dogs and meeting friendly people who want to pet me. I get so excited to smell everything that sometimes I don’t pay attention to mom, but I’m getting better. Speaking of my mom, she is the best! I’ve grown very attached to her and must keep her in my line of sight pretty much all the time. I lavish her with lots of kisses, she seems to like that. Living in a city is quite a change for this country girl but I’m loving it. We are always out and about. My first weekend I went to a vineyard with my new doxie buddy Bentley. He’s a nice old fellow, who lets me have my way – what can I say, I’m a bit of a diva! A couple of weeks ago I went on my first plane ride to visit my new extended family in Atlanta. I did pretty good for having to put up with being in a dog carrier for the flight. Next time mom says we’ll fly direct! Looking forward to cooler weather this fall so mom and I can do more urban exploring. She keeps telling me about this giant grassy area called “the National Mall” where we can run and play and have a picnic. Sounds good to me, especially the picnic part – I’ll make sure she pacts my favorite treats! All the best! Greta Garbo
