Happy Tales
Every one of these Dachshunds has been rescued by an angel...
Harley's Brave Journey Harley's Story is a great inspiration to AADR because it shows that no matter how desperate the situation, saving one life makes the ultimate difference. DeeAnn, Harley's foster mom, has included her personal account with Harley's amazing story and where he is now.Harley was found homeless and sick. He only had a 50% chance of survival. Now he is living a life of true happiness and contentment. Read More...

Dalton.....OH
Dalton is doing great. He has been such a great addition to our home. He's still in his ornery puppy stage but we're all having fun. Potty training is progressing nicely. We're doing daily walks, working on walking with the leash but making it fun and he has a new harness coming. He's outgrowing the one Diane & Ed gave us when we picked him up.
We had a vet visit on June 13 and everyone at the clinic absolutely loved him. The vet gave him an A+ on the visit and said he looked fantastic.
After having rescued before, when we lost Big Red, we knew when we were ready, there would be no other choice. It was just finding the right doxie for us. Dalton definitely fits in and has brought a lot of laughter and the welcome sound of puppy feet to our home.
Attached is a pic taken not too long after we had gotten him home. I hope to take some more pictures of him (if I can get him to sit still). He's a handsome one.
Daisy number 16.....NC
Daisy is a joy.. We call her Miss Daisy.. and she is the sweetest old girl... She has picked up a little weight and she plays with our other rescue doxie’s. We think she may be a little hard of hearing but that really doesn’t bother her.. Everyone that meets her has fallen in love with her… We are thankful everyday for her
Tilly number 3....FL
Faith (formerly Tilly) just makes my heart sing ... what a blessing to have her! Once her coat grows back, sheâll get a proper wire-hair cut .... canât wait to see her with a beard!!! LOL
Faith seen here with Princess who was being fostered in the home (since adopted too!).
Phoebe.....TN
Phoebe is doing great, she is so very sweet but for some reason won't give kisses, but she puts her paws on our chests while sitting on our laps and puts her face in ours , it's so cute, she settled in just fine with our little Bella , and they eat side by side in their bowls, it's so cute, and she plays well in the back yard with Bella as well and tries to catch the lizards, I'll send ya some photos, Donna
We got this photo of Phoebe (red) hanging out with her new sister Annabelle (black and tan)!
Scooter number 5.....KS
Scooter is doing good. Lizzie (the blonde doxie mix) and him are buddies now. Having the typical potty issues in the house because when hes outside he wants to play with the cat instead of going to the bathroom. We are working on that. I have registered his chip and ordered him some steps to get on the couch with. I also had a sweater custom made for him so he will stay warm outside and have made a ramp off the back porch so he can get up and down with no problems. He loves food so I'm trying to keep an eye on that. He is quite the loveable little dog. It's too bad I couldn't have got him when he was younger :)
