Happy Tales

Every one of these Dachshunds has been rescued by an angel...

Harley's Brave Journey   Harley's Story is a great inspiration to AADR because it shows that no matter how desperate the situation, saving one life makes the ultimate difference. DeeAnn, Harley's foster mom, has included her personal account with Harley's amazing story and where he is now.Harley was found homeless and sick. He only had a 50% chance of survival. Now he is living a life of true happiness and contentment. Read More...

Frankie and Johnny....NY

The boys are wonderful!!!  They have fit right in with the rest of my dogs immediately...so now they have 6 new dog friends.  I have a special senior center set up in my house...and they don't even need it.  They are very spry old guys and love to hang out with the rest of my dogs.  They actually run around and play with my dogs everyday - and they love to cuddle up with my black labs and use them as pillows.  They have even gotten used to the cold and the snow!!

thanks for checking up on them....they are both such lovable little guys....and very very cute!!!

LYNDA

Frankie number 3.....PA

More of our little buddy!!! He fits in as if he was born here ... Working on peeing in the yard ! He will hold a gallon till you take him for a walk ! Which is not always possible !!!  But we are both getting exercise!
He is the calmest dachshund ever ! He fell asleep in the arms of the vet at the office!!!!! IMAGINE!!! In his arms! The vet was amazed! Told me to play the lottery !!!

Foxie...NC
Foxie...NC

"Scout" is doing great. She is so full of life and love. She gives lots of kisses is learning our family and routine easily.

Foxy..MD

Foxy, now known as Ruby, is doing very well. ...Our other dog and she are still adjusting but doing pretty well.... She is such a sweetie and loves to be outside! She's a great addition to our family...the kids love her so much!

Flash #2...AL

We love sweet Flashy! He has the sweetest temperament and loves to play and snuggle. He gets along well with his sister doxie and all three kids. He still wears a belly band in the house because he has not mastered the potty training yet. He's on a schedule and is four days accident free (yay!) so we're hoping to ditch the band soon. He does well in the fenced in yard for potty time but he has tried to dig out, so we've had to reinforce the gate areas. He squeezed out one morning and chased a stray cat. He does NOT like cats it turns out. He knows his name and comes to it. He now enjoys going for walks on his leash and sleeps peacefully in his crate each night. He's grown very attached to my seven year old, Chloe, in the picture and he's very protective of us all. I think he enjoys his new family. He likes playing with his sis and getting lots of belly loves, and digging through the hamper for dirty socks. :) Lynne
