BIO:
Hello there my name is Wylie and I have been told I’m the sweetest little guy!! I was picked up as a stray by my foster mom from a family that I found their yard to wonder into. I was so scared that it took them a week to get me, but that is all behind me now. Wylie is doing great in his foster home, I am crate trained, leash trained, love to play with toys, love being in the yard to play, and if kept on a schedule I am house trained. I get along with all the other dachshunds in my foster home and also get along with the cats.
I think playing is a lot of fun but I do love being in your lap. I love to be held, kissed and talked to. I do not always know what my foster mom is saying, but I am pretty sure it is all good stuff. I am always happy and I just cannot wait to find my Furever Home!
BIO: This little guy was picked up as a stray in Tennessee so his history is unknown. What we do know Wylie is 3 years old and is a very sweet little man! He is very slim, friendly and energetic and he loves going for walks. Wylie also loves a lap, lots of praise and to go bye bye. We are working on his potty habits, while he does go outside often and can hold it over night, he still has occasional accidents.
Sparky is now doing great, loves running the yard, playing with his toys, sleeping in his crate or the big bed. Sparky gets along with all the dogs and cats in his foster home. Now Sparky will bark if someone comes near the house but isn’t that what we have them for. In taking Sparking to petsmart last night he is a smart boy and picked up some new toys for himself, but everyone loved him and he did great with everyone. Sparky will be a great addition to anyone’s Furfamily. Please if you are interested in Sparky please fill out the application!!

=============== Information for all dogs/adopters ==============
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal.
We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If you choose transporting by either volunteers through our organization or by paid transporter, there will be an additional $45 Fee added for the required Health Certificate.
We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this, you need to take this up with your legislatures.
We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of $45.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another $50.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.
To understand the adoption process through AADR, please visit the Adoption Information. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3.
If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and then you can complete an Application.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
