BIO: HEY, my name is Sam Boney and I’m a handsome devil if I do say so myself, and I’m a hand full! I’m a rabble rouser and proud of it! If you are looking for a dog with a lot of spunk then I’m your guy!!

My momma kicked dad to the curb because he had a wandering eye and she didn’t have time for that while trying to give birth to us 8 puppies, so we ended up in rescue. Don’t get me wrong, they are taking excellent care of us, but I want a home that will take care of me and keep up with me... are you that home, are you ready for me??

I want a fenced yard to run in, someone to play with, dog or cat doesn’t matter, and I want you to have enough time to teach me what I need to learn, like house training skills and playing ball. I will need a lot of your time, so if you don’t have it, then please don’t apply!

Also if you apply and are approved you have to be willing to travel to within at hour of Lewisburg TN. My foster mom has a bad back, whatever that means, and can't drive further.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
