BIO: Hi my foster mom took new pix of me and I have to say I am getting more beautiful every day and the only thing that makes me sad is that no one has applied to make me their little baby....WHY?

Hi, my name is Bailey Beans! My momma is a pure bred dachshund and she won’t talk about daddy, other than to say he was a really great guy and that I remind her a lot of him. Mom came into rescue and one week later she had me and my 7 brothers and sisters. She has helped us grow and now has a home - you can see a picture of her if you e-mail my foster mom. But now about me…I’m a quiet little girl, friendly but just easy going. They think I’m mixed with Beagle, what does that mean, is that bad??  And, they think I won’t be any more than 20 pounds, if that.

If you are interested in adopting me you have to either come get me in Lewisburg TN or within an hour drive of Lewisburg since my Foster mom has a bad back. So please, pretty please, could you adopt me and come get me?

Oh PS - Don’t let the picture fool you, my legs are not as long as they look in that one picture!

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
