BIO: Lily is an absolute angel baby. She is a smooth chocolate & tan min doxie weighing 9#. She is up to date on her shots, we use advantage for fleas & she has been spayed . She was a breeder dog for the first 2 years of her life & luckily her owner decided to stop. She is very shy at first until she can trust you she will cower & drop. We are teaching her to walk with a leash. She loves to sit on a lap, give kisses--she is really enjoying her new comfortable life. She can be very playful--will play with toys & with other dogs. She gets along very well with my 2 Doxies. She sleeps in her kennel with her warm blankets all night. We are working on housetraining by using a regular schedule , crating & positive reinforcement. Please connsider giving Lily her forever home--she will give so much love in return.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about LILY2....

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
