BIO: Albert came from a deplorable situation. He was made to stay in a dark basement, in a crate covered with a blanket. Lucky for him and 2 others, they had a guardian angel that was determined to get them out once she found out about them. She managed to talk the people out of the three dogs and AADR was happy to take the two that needed us (the other found a home right away).
Now Albert needs you. He is the sweetest dog! When he came in, he was scared out of his mind but when he found out that no one meant him any harm, he turned into a real love-bug. He gets along with the other fosters in the home. He appears to be housebroken and uses the doggie door, probably a refresher would work for him if you didn’t have one. He definitely needs a fenced in yard and no more basements or crates for him. While we do crate him for a couple hours at a time, we are not looking at homes that work and want to crate him. He would do best with another dog, male or female doesn’t matter.
He did lose 14 teeth due to the poor care he had before rescue, but his gums will heal and he’ll be able to eat hard food with no problem. Because he’s lost teeth it’s going to be important that the new owners take care of the teeth he has left, but please don’t let that stop you from adopting this sweet, loving boy. You sit down and he’s in your lap before you get completely down!
Please consider giving Albert the home he should have had long before this happened to him.
