Bonnie is a shy and loving puppy dog. She is very sweet once she gets to know you and will come up to you and give you little kisses. She just loves to lay in your lap and have you pet her, after you allow her the time to come up to you. She is protective of her babies but not aggressive toward anyone or anything. Bonnie is the mom of Mickey and Minnie. Bonnie gets along with all the other fur kids in the house, large and small. Please consider making a space in your family for little Bonnie. Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If going by ground transport, the adopter is responsible for an additional fee of $25 for the required Health Certificate to cross state lines. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about BONNIE...IN
Good with Dogs
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
