BIO: Sweet Cece. Obviously... not a Dachshund. An AADR volunteer was made aware that Cece needed to be re-homed immediately, and she responded quickly. So we are looking for her ideal furever home.
Foster mom says, "The ONLY reason this cutie is available to adopt is because we are committed to fostering in our home- and we cant keep them all. She is precious!" Likes to be held, loves car rides, wants to play with toys and plays nice with the other dogs. She is a perfect lap dog, and the ideal home would be one in which someone has plenty of home time, or could take her to work. She is friendly to strangers, but doesn't like for them to reach and grab her without proper sniffs of introduction. So a home with an older kid or teen would be great. She has not minded her human foster sister's friends coming over to the house and fawning over her. She likes to sleep on the big bed, and loves her nap time. She is a full blooded Shih Tzu, so she will require routine grooming, and a commitment to keep her face clean. She knows her name, and will respond if called. Cece is beautiful with soft, downy fur, and a love bug! She will be an amazing blessing for a fortunate family!
Cece has a delicate digestive system, and gulps her food. She will need to eat easily digestible dog food (she prefers it moistened, such a princess). And new adopters should be aware that the stress of moving to a new home may cause her to have loose stools and the need to go out frequently. In her foster home it settled down after a few days.
We are fortunate to have all the background vet records for Cece. Foster mom Melanie has lots of video to share by smart phone. She is fostered in western KY.
