BIO:

Hello there, Little Bit 6 here. Want to say thank you for taking the time to read about me. I have been with my foster family for about 3 weeks now. I was a little hesitant and shy. Not the other dogs but with my foster mom and dad, but if they sat down, watch out. Love to be close with everyone. Little people, because they have grandchildren, I just stay my distance, but older ones their ok if they give me time and let me get to know them. My foster home has three dogs Roxie and Nick and Rex. Their cute and handsome but I am beautiful. They also have a cat Alex. I wanted to check him out, he doesn't care for me. He scratched me twice, now I just stay a way. I like a fenced yard, I love to run around outside and inside, I love to play. I love toys their always picking up after me. I walk great on a leash and enjoy walks. Strangers, their ok but takes me a while to warm up. This house is busy. I am a little shy and back away at first, I am nosy I follow everyone around, so afraid I will miss something, but snuggle with the other three, we work hard all day, don't you know. Lol Let's talk about this crate thing, don't care for them, but if they go away or night time, I crate with one of the others, I am looking for a home that will love and care for me, I want to be just another family member. If you want to know more about me, please email my foster mom Celeste, she will answer any questions you may have, she loves to talk. Thank you for taking the time to read about me.

More about Little Bit number 6.....PA

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
