BIO:

Hi my name is Socks! They named me that because I have cute little white feet. I am only 14 weeks old but those weeks have been hard ones. It all started when a very nice lady bought my brother, sister and I from a man at a Flea Market in Alabama. The man told her that we were old enough to be away from our mommy but we weren’t. The very nice lady saved our lives! We lived with her for several months but then we started to cost more money than she could afford. So, she called the amazing people at AADR and asked if they would help us find a forever home. Well, here we are in our foster home.

I love it here but I would really love to find a forever home. My foster mommy says that I am the quiet snuggler in the bunch. I am really good with other dogs and I love to play. I also love to eat….. A LOT! I would love to have a playmate to keep me company and a warm lap to snuggle up in. I can be introduced to a cat if needed. Foster mommy tells me all of the time that I am a very good boy!! Will you be my forever home?

More about Socks.....TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
