He is gaining weight and he is getting settled in. He is doing very well on housebreaking, if he goes out at regular intervals. He is very very passive and loves other dogs. He also loves a good long cuddle at night on the couch. He loves taking a bath and he is a little shy on wakling in a neighborhood but will walk with you without resistance. He does have a good strong bark when he hears something he does not recognize and will be a good watchdog for someone. He is also crate trained. He does need to learn what he can and can't chew on, he is a puppy after all! Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about BANJO...FL
Good with Dogs
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
