BIO

Hi my name is Doodles I want to give a special thanks to the rescue and my foster mommy for rescuing me from the animal shelter in Kingston, TN. This was not a very nice place. Thanks to them I have a chance of finding my furever home and a family to love and care for me.

Now it is time for me to brag about my little self. I am a real friendly little girl, I just love, love everyone. I do not know a stranger and I think that everyone should just take the time out and love on me. Foster Mommy say that I am just the cutest and the most loveable little thing. I am not completely housebroken, me and foster mommy are working on this little problem. So when I find my furever home I will need to be on a schedule for doing my business outside and to continue my training. Foster mommy does not understand why someone would take the time to leash train me and not train me to potty outside. I love to play with my foster sisters, one of them is really big from where I am at, but she lets me climb all over her and lay on top of her. I am still learning to play with doggie toys, I especially like the ones that make a noise. I love to snuggle on your lap or lay really close to you, this is one of my favorite things. I am crate trained and sleep in a crate at night with my foster sisters. The big bed would be really great too, if I could get away with that. I love my food and I only have to be told once that it is time to eat. I just love to try and steal food out of my foster sister’s bowls, but foster mommy catches me every time. I swear that woman has eyes in the back of her head whatever that means. It would be great if my furever home had another doggie so that I will have someone to play with. Children would be nice also, even though I have not been around any. They will just need to respect my space and be careful with me.

Please consider me for your new furbaby, I promise to give you lots of love and doggie kisses.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
