BIO

Are you looking for the 110% housebroken dog? Well look no further that would be Wilma Grace! She had one family but due to life changes they had to give her up. Wilma is a very laid back girl, would be fine by herself or another mature dog, no young pups for her she wants to mosey in the fenced yard or lay on the couch or sleep in the big bed but no playing around.

She will go to the door when she wants out and LOVES to be outside that’s why we want a fenced in yard for her. She rides great in the car too.

Wilma Grace is just the greatest dog, and the pix of her don’t do her justice. Please consider giving her one more home. Her health is great, she just had a fresh dental and only lost a couple teeth. We took a little weight off her cause she was a couple lbs over weight but now she’s prefect.

Please give Wilma the home she deserves….

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
