BIO

Lindy#2 might have a little of something else in her but she’s doxie all the way. She loves to be a lap dog, she loves to follow you from room to room and she loves to sleep in the big bed sometimes under the covers. If you are looking for a bigger girls that won’t have the back worried that some of the smaller dachshunds do then consider Lindy for adoption. She’s  sweet sweet girl that deserves a chance at a good life and deserves to be a pampered pooch. She was picked up in Middle AL as a stray, very pregnant and delivered 6 beautiful babies in the shelter. We were asked if we would take her and babies.

She’s a great dog don’t let her 25 lbs scare you from giving her a home, please.

More about Lindy #2...TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
