BEING FOSTERED IN MIDDLE TN.....

He is a very sweet little dachshund and I will try to give you as much information as I can so that you can find him a wonderful home. His name is Chip. He is 18 months old, his birthday was Dec. 23, 2006. He is up to date on all of his shots. He has no known health issues. He has been neutered. He is housbroken. He is 13 lbs. His color is red, but on his back he does have some black color. He is crate trained. He is great with my kids, loves them (my kids are 10 and 13). He is here with my other dogs, and although not playing with them, he is not scared of them. He is not aggressive toward any of the dogs, big or small. He loves to chase a laser pointer. My kids think that is great and that we should teach our dogs to do the same. He loves to sit in your lap and does not mind being picked up. He is a great little dog with a really good personality.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about CHIP..VA

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
