Paul came to me along with his mother, 2 brothers and sister when a breeder was forced to give up her dogs. From Paul Hi, my name is Paul I am on the shyer side but still adventurous. I am a very sweet boy and I love to give kisses. I am good with getting baths and my foster mommy cuts my nails all the time so I should have no problem with that as long as you keep it up. I have a human foster brother who plays with me all the time and my foster cousins play with me as well so I am used to kids. I would need a home with someone who would be around to continue with my housetraining as I’m still a pup and can’t hold my bladder yet.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
