BIO: What a sweet boy Bandit is. He is a beautiful boy with an amazing soft dapple coat. Bandit is always happy to see you and has quite a personality, very energetic, sweet and smart. He loves to be near you. Bandit loves his toys and loves to play and run with his foster brother. They get along so well and keep us laughing. Bandit loves to sleep in the big bed. What a great snuggler he is on cold nights. Bandit has adjusted quickly to his surroundings and gets along well with both foster parents. He is also doing very well on house training. We have him on a schedule and is doing great with few accidents. We leave Bandit in his crate with his foster brother during the day and he does very well with that. Bandit is about as perfect a boy one could ask for. Bandit loves to eat and is protective over his food. Just monitor him when he is eating and he will be fine. Overall, Bandit is a very loving boy and would be an amazing addition to any family. He is a true joy to foster. He will touch your heart like he has ours. Bring him home for the Holidays!!
Also video links to Youtube are ok and encouraged. However, inclusion of videos to the dog’s bios is at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors and Johnny based on quality, content, and favorable portrayal of the dachshund(s).
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If they choose transporting by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.
We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this you need to take this up with your legislatures.
We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of 35.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another 35.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.
To understand the adoption process through AADR please visit the Adoption Information. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3.
If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and then you can complete an Application.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
