BIO:  This dignified and handsome gentleman is Winston.  He is a happy, laid back fellow who loves a good meal, a romp in the yard, a soft bed and a warm lap.  Winston has a very soft coat of gorgeous deep red and adores to have a head pat.  He is still young enough to enjoy squeaky toys and happily runs in the fenced yard with his foster siblings.  Winston is happiest with a human by his side, someone out there can make Winston one happy guy.  In return, he promises years of devotion and unconditional love.

We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
