BIO:

Molly is an extremely affectionate, beautiful shiny coated long haired female dachshund who will quickly steel your heart with those gorgeous eyes.  She was used to make babies until she was turned out on the streets to fend for herself and a kind neighbor took her in.  Even though she went through this horrific experience, she absolutely loves people and she enjoys cuddling up with us at every opportunity.  While our dogs don’t bother her in the least, at this point she would just as soon curl up with my husband and/or me rather than play with them.  She does get excited when she see my cats and she will chase and bark at them, all the while with her tail wagging.  If you have an older dog or even a young dog who is not overly playful with other dogs, she would fit in perfectly with them.  She is full of energy and she loves to go outside.  She would be overjoyed if her forever home came with a fenced in yard.  Molly is looking for that wonderful furever home that she so richly deserves.  Are you the one who can provide that for her?

More about Molly #9..VT

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
