BIO:

At the age of 9 y/o Woody is now looking to find his forever home. Due to circumstances beyond his control he was turned over to AADR so we could find him a new home. He has been well taken care of and is a wonderful dog. He enjoys being with his people and will snuggle especially in the evening. He is house trained and has had no accidents here.

Woody is a very well mannered gentleman. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. He is leash trained and gets very excited when to tell him we're going for a walk.  He is crate trained but prefers to sleep in a chair. He likes car rides and likes to stick his head out of the window. He is playful and likes to run around the yard with his toys.

Woody will make a wonderful pet so please consider giving this special pup his forever home-he so deserves it!!!

Good with Dogs

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
