BIO:  What can we say about Charlie Rose? She’s a puppy, a puppy, a puppy!! She loves to play so another young dog for her to play with is a must. She likes to be the alpha female so a laid back male would be the best. She has lots of doxie moxie attitude. If you like the dachsie attitude you’ll LOVE Charlie Rose BUT when she wants to be with her people she is all peaches and cream! She  loves to be in your lap when you are sitting, curled up under a blanket is her best. She loves to sleep in the big bed and will sleep all night long until you wake in the morning to take her out.

Charlie Rose knows what going outside means and with you by her side or in the yard with her she’ll show you! She loves to be outside playing in the yard so having a fenced yard is a must for this little lady.

She can be a little shy at first but is getting better with time and working on showing her that people are her best friend. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl please fill out an application on line and do it quick she won’t last long, nope not this cutie.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If they choose transporting by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate. 

We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this you need to take this up with your legislatures.

We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of 35.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another 35.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
