BEING FOSTERED IN KY!!

Milo was a stray that was rescued from a high kill shelter. He was a mess when he was picked up, he had lost most of his hair off his ears and some on his body and was severly underweight. When we took him to the vet it turned out he had a skin fungus that was cleared up by medicated shampoo, he recieved all his shots and is hw negative. The shelter told me he was old and aggressive with other dogs. Milo is anything but old and aggressive. He seems to be about 1 1/2 years old and one of the most loving dogs i have met. He is a little timid and I sense he has been abused in the past because he has a hard time when people move fast and raise their hands to him. I think with a little time and love he will get through that. He gets along great with dogs and cats, we are not to sure about kids but would guess older children would do best. Milo is awaiting his forever home and love!
He is 1 1/2 yrs ol, neuterd, hw neg, had his dental, good w/ cats/dogs
Out of State and Canidian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arranements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about MILO...AL

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
