BIO: Winston is an adorable happy-go-lucky shiny, sleek, slim little boy who will melt your heart from the moment you see him. He bonded to me within minutes of when I picked him up to bring him home and, once at home, it is rare that he is not by my side. He is happiest when not confined to a specific area and when not left alone, although he is pretty good if he can look out a window. He loves to snuggle and be loved and he will give you kisses all day long. He adapted quickly to our routine at home. The first couple of times that we went for a walk, he was a bit apprehensive. However, it didn’t take long for him to eagerly look forward to our morning and evening walks. He now waits for us excitedly at the door and trots along side us on his leash with his head held high and his tail wagging. He loves foster dad, Don, just as much as me and he will snuggle up to one or both of us at the first opportunity. He gets along great with my other dachshunds; but he is a bit shy with our lab, Gus, although they are starting to play together now that he is becoming more comfortable with his surroundings. Winston is a true dachshund as he is a barker and he will bark at unfamiliar noises, animals and people he does not know. Once he gets to know them, he loves to be petted and talked to. He enjoys his food and treats. Winston is everything that I love about a dachshund. He is so sweet all the time and he is definitely Mr. Personality plus. He is also high energy. He is eager to give all his love to his forever family. Are you willing to give little Winston the forever home he is longing for?
