BIO

Maisey is a dark red smooth dachshund. She's house broken. She is 3years old and has more love to give then I've ever seen. The second you walk up to this little 11lb girl she rolls right over in hopes for her belly to be rubbed! Where ever you go, Maisey is right there beside you. She's great on a leash and in car rides. She does need to be crated when you leave your house because she will miss you so much she might chew a few things up. She listens really well. She likes new people and is quick to get attached. She gets along with other dogs as long they aren't too sniffy in her privates. Maisey is a great lil company who just wants to snuggle snuggle snuggle!

More about Maisey...FL

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
