BIO:  Hi my name is Roxanne and I was in a bad place before I came to my foster mom’s house. They call it a shelter, I don’t know why I ended up there but I guess my owners didn’t want me anymore. Then to add more insult to injury the “shelter” said I was heartworm positive and if they couldn’t find a rescue to take me they were going to have to euthanize me, what does that mean??

Anyway lucky for me the lady in charge said that AADR was going to take me so here I am!! I have to go through heartworm treatment but I’ll be ready to go to my forever home on the 25^th of April when my treatment is all done and I’m free of those nasty things.  I can hardly wait to get in a home of my own so I don’t have to share my mom or daddy’s lap with so many.

Did I tell you I love a lap and I love the big beg or if you won’t let me sleep with you I’ll be happy to lay on the couch and sleep the night away but if I sleep with you I promise I won’t wake you up in the middle of the night to go out to potty.

My wish list is to have a mommy and daddy home most of the time, another dog maybe to keep me company when you have to go away for the day and a fenced in yard. I would love a doggie door but if you don’t have one that’s ok we’ll manage without it.

So could you please put in an application for me today so that I know on the 25^th of April I have a home to go to of my own and then my foster mommy can take in another doggie that needs her help. I promise I’ll be good and love you all the days of my life, LOVE Roxanne

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
