BIO:
Wrangler is truly the most laid back and easygoing dog that I have ever had the pleasure of loving. He enjoys going for a walk, playing with his favorite toy, or taking a nap. He’s content in your lap or on a soft bed on the floor. He is affectionate and loves to have his head and back rubbed. He gets along with other small dogs easily, but he doesn’t do well around larger breeds. He does well with cats and children, too. He would do well in any family setting that will give him a lot of love (and head rubs). At first glance, Wrangler’s coat looks black and tan.
As you get closer, you will see that his coat is Wild Boar meaning that there is a beautiful blend of brown, black, and gold hairs throughout the darker colored sections of his body. He is truly a beautiful, gentle, and muscular dog!
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.
We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this you need to take this up with your legislatures.
We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of 35.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another 35.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.
Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
