BIO:

I am one of 10 puppies – my mommy is Sparkle (b/t dachshund - min-pin mix) and they say my daddy was a “traveling salesman”.  I am a happy and playful puppy- I like to chew on things- so my foster mommy got me a yummy cow hoof to chew on.  I came to Michigan with three of my siblings- my sisters gone to  forever homes in New York- I’m still looking for the best family for me- I think a little boy to play with would be nice! I am learning to fetch: it’s kind of fun to run, fetch a toy and bring it back- it’s very easy- I think I need a bigger challenge- something like agility or fly ball maybe?  I have “very long” legs- I tower over my foster doxies a lot- I feel like the “Jolly Green Giant” next to them.  All I need is my own family to love me, play with me and let me cuddle in a lap or two.  I’m very low key, easy going and I haven’t learned to bark much yet.  If you take me home with you- I will love you forever and be your BEST FRIEND!!

More about Dash..IN

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
