BIO:

Hi There! My name is Blaze. I am a cute, love to cuddle Chi-weenie puppy! I’m just a puppy so I don’t know much yet bur my Foster Mom and Dad tell be that I am the “great little dog”  filled with love and kisses. I love to be held and cuddle. I am very curious and playful!

I am really happy you are reading this because now you will know that I am learning about my crate, I almost have my “pee-pee-pad” down and I am getting use to going outside…even though it’s cold and Mom and Dad won’t let me stay long.

I have three Foster brothers and sisters; my real sister is Flicker but I live with Freddie and Emma-Jane. I get along really well with them. Freddie is cool; he likes to chase me and wrestle with me! They’re are fun to play with and I am learning to chase a little yellow ball…don’t know what to do with it when I catch it bit I have a great time chasing it.

Most of my day is spent with playing, eating and sleeping…Mom says I play “really hard!”

I hope you’ll write to my house and tell my Foster Parents you would really like to give me a forever home… I promise to be a good boy and give you all the kisses you’d ever want. Got to go now…nap time!!

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
