BIO:
Cherry Pie is a dear, sweet little dog with beautiful, soulful eyes. She goes to work with her foster mom, and sits in a big fluffy chair studying everyone that comes her way. Everyone that meets her falls head over heels in love with her. She was a breeder surrender, and is still learning to be comfortable with being petted and loved on. She is really coming out of her shell now, and actively seeks attention and to be petted by her foster mom when she comes home. She gets along well with her foster brother and sister, but would love to be the queen of the house and be royally treated and spoiled like the special little girl she is. She would probably be best in a home without small children and also needs a secure, fenced yard since she can still be a bit fearful. She is crate trained, and potty trained when she is on a schedule. She sleeps in the big bed with her foster mom, and sleeps all night and waits to be taken out each morning. She hangs out in the big bed with the other dogs when her foster mom runs errands, and is fine when left out of her crate. She still needs more socialization, but will continue to be more outgoing with each passing day. She is a little love bug in the making!
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.
We have now been approved to adopt and transport into the state of Massachusetts but there are guidelines the organization and adopters must follow. If adopting and before filling out the adoption form please e mail aadrpresident@gmail.com to get the guidelines and expenses that must be followed.
Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
