BIO:  Connor and Coy2 came from the same puppymill in MO and are brothers, we are hoping to keep them together because they are so attached to each other. We are offering them as a pair for 250.00 each(500.00 pair) but if you just can’t see your way clear to adopt both then they are 300.00 each. They were shy when they first came into our rescue but with love they have blossomed into two wonderful dogs. They get along great with kids and even little toddlers as well as the resident cats. They are not over fond of the cat but they don’t  chase the cat and try to do them harm. If you can’t not adopt both then you will have to have another companion dog so they will not develop separation anxiety because they have never been alone.

They will need to continue work with housebreaking but are doing wonderful and love to be outside so we want them to have a fenced in yard. No apt for these two or an unfenced yard because they are not used to walking on a leash to potty.

If you think you can adopt both please contact the foster home she would love to talk to you about these two wonderful loving boys.

Please consider both, because they will keep you entertained  for hours.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.

We have now been approved to adopt and transport into the state of Massachusetts but there are guidelines the organization and adopters must follow. If adopting and before filling out the adoption form please e mail aadrpresident@gmail.com to get the guidelines and expenses that must be followed.

Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

More about CONNOR..NY

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
