BIO

Charlie was surrendered to AADR after being rescued from an abusive owner who was seen kicking him.  Unfortunately, the person that rescued him was unable to keep him.

Charlie is the most loveable little companion that anyone would ever want.  He is obviously very forgiving for his rough introduction to the human world.  Charlie is a bouncing ball of love and is happy all the time.  He is very food motivated, which makes training him very easy.  Charlie is very athletic with a muscular physique and lean body structure.  He is always jumping for joy when he sees you!  He would be great for an active family or person.  He gets along with all dogs big or small.  He has not been around younger children, but I think that he would be very tolerant if they were respectful of a little dog.

If you think that you could provide enough love to fill Charlie’s dream of finding his forever home, please reach out to him and fill out an application.

We have now been approved to adopt and transport into the state of Massachusetts but there are guidelines the organization and adopters must follow. If adopting and before filling out the adoption form please e mail aadrpresident@gmail.com to get the guidelines and expenses that must be followed.

More about Charlie...NH

Good with Dogs

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
