BIO:  Are you looking for a senior that’s 150% housebroken, well look no further! Max is your man.  Max came into rescue from another small rescue from East TN.

Max is sweet, laid back and just wants a home to call his own for the rest of his life. We don’t know how he ended up homeless all we care about is that someone will see what a wonderful addition he will be to their home and adopt him.

This boy is fully housebroken and will go to the door to be let out or go out the doggie door to let himself out.

He loves to be out in the yard on a sunny day and just soak up the sun.

Max is so low key, doesn’t bark, doesn’t mind being left while you work or run errands and would make a GREAT dog for an older couple or person.

Max is completely vetted including a fresh dental. Please don’t let him stay homeless long.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.

We have now been approved to adopt and transport into the state of Massachusetts but there are guidelines the organization and adopters must follow. If adopting and before filling out the adoption form please e mail aadrpresident@gmail.com to get the guidelines and expenses that must be followed.

Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

More about MAX..AL

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
