BIO

Bogey is a precious little boy who recently came into rescue.  He is just a pup and still loves to play.  Bogey is such a handsome boy and will make a wonderful addition to the fortunate family who chooses to adopt him.  Just as sweet as he is is cute!  He gets along great with the other dogs and loves to play with them.  He is completely house trained and will come and jump against your leg to alert you to the fact that he needs to go outside.  He has been accustomed to being in a home where his foster mom is at home during the day and since he is young he goes potty every two or three hours during the day.  He sleeps in the dog bed but is also fine being crated at night as well. Bogey is a happy boy and truly a joy to have around.

Bogey is a special needs boy. He was born with front legs that the bigger bone is curved to the point that if he put a lot of stress on it that he'll limp. It's not painful to him but we are putting him on Glucosamine and keeping him at a perfect weight will help him to live system free for his life.

We have now been approved to adopt and transport into the state of Massachusetts but there are guidelines the organization and adopters must follow. If adopting and before filling out the adoption form please e mail aadrpresident@gmail.com to get the guidelines and expenses that must be followed.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
