BIO:
Meet Cooper. He was named Cooper because he is the color of copper. Copper and Cooper just went together so Cooper became his name. Cooper was rescued from a high kill shelter in the California desert with his playmate Kendal. He weighed just over 7lbs when he entered the shelter. His prime weight should be around 15 – 18 lbs and he is getting there.
Cooper is lovable, fun loving, kissy, kissy, huggable and the softest dog you have ever touched. He has white streaks in his ears and a partial beautiful blue eye which are traits of the Pie Bald, but he isn’t not a Pie Bald. His coat is not really red, nor anywhere brown. I look at it as copper colored and others who have seen him agree.
Copper is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, not food aggressive (but gulps), knows how to use the doggie door and the doggie steps up and down from the bed. He is a lover, gives affection all the time, loves to be wherever you are but at the same time enjoys his time alone on the couch or in his crate when left open. He would be the class clown if he were in school today. He is a riot!!! He plays well with other dogs, and shows no aggression in any way.
Please contact me for further information on Cooper. I would love to share our experiences with you. They will make you laugh.
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.
Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
