BIO:
update: Oliver's diet and exercise program has been a big success and he now weighs a healthy 19 pounds. He had his teeth cleaned and lost a few, but the rest are gleaming white. He is very well housebroken and will come and get you when he needs to go out. He loves to go for walks. Ollie gets along well with the other dogs in the family, but has the heart of a hunter, so would not do well with cats or other small pets. Oliver barks excitedly when it's time for a walk or dinner, but is otherwise pretty quiet and laid back. He has a very sweet personality.
Oliver Pinto is a beautiful red piebald standard dachshund. He is a big boy and needs to lose a few pounds to reach his ideal weight of probably around 18 pounds. He is doing well with his diet and exercise program. Oliver is 9 years old, but looks and acts like a much younger dog. He walks well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. He is a laid back fellow who enjoys snoozing in a dog bed or on the couch. He is house broken. Oliver trots right into his crate at bedtime and sleeps peacefully all night. He'll let you know when it's time to get up and take him out, but fortunately he is not an early riser. He gets along well with the other dachshunds and dachshund mixes in the house and seems to be fine with bigger dogs too. He has not been around cats, but does try to chase the one that hangs out in the neighborhood. Oliver is a friendly fellow and would be fine with older children who understand that he will sometimes need his own space. If you are looking for a polite, cheerful, eye-catching companion then Oliver Pinto is the guy for you.
