BIO:

Aubie 2 is a  3 ½ year old dachshund that was surrendered from a home that didn’t have time for this sweet laid back little guy which is their loss because this little doxie will made a great pet for a family.  Aubie’s foster mom has a doggie door and he loved it from the first moment we got home.  He is house trained, loves running around the yard, does very well in the car, and is a great little cuddle bug next to you.  Aubie is a little skittish  at first but doesn’t take long to want to love all over you.  Aubie is very good with the other dogs in the home and  has no problems with the cats.  Aubie 2 would like to have his very own  “Furever Family” for the holidays.

If you feel you can give Aubie 2 the home he so deserves please fill out an adoption application.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
